SIGMA Dismisses Faith Over Allegations Of Sexual Harassment

Sigma Club, University of Ibadan has dismissed the Public Relations Officer of the Faculty of Law Students Society, Adegoke Ayomide Faith.

Recall that earlier today, UCJUI exclusively reported that the Students’ Union banned him from the Union’s building over an alleged attempt to sexually assault a student within the building.

In a screening notice on Monday evening, signed by the Sigma Chief, Eniola Moses, the organization noted that it has dismissed the second-year law student who currently serves as General Coordinator of the UI SU PR Team.

Even though the release did not state the reason for the dismissal, UCJUI has now gathered through sources within the organization, who pleaded anonymity, that the decision was made after extensive deliberation.

One of the sources, a highly placed one privy to the conversations, noted that a key factor that influenced the decision was the discovery that this allegation was not the first against him.

At the time of writing the report, multiple attempts to reach the alleged perpetrator proved futile.
