The male defending champions of the Sigma Chief’s League, Soccer For All(SFA), are set to face Nazi boys on Monday, November 18th, 2024 at the Old Football Pitch, University of Ibadan.
Featuring both male and female categories, the Sigma Chief’s League will pit undergraduate and postgraduate students of the university against one another as teams compete for the ultimate prize in a winner-takes-all knockout format.
On Monday, SFA will lock horns with debutants, Nazi boys by 2PM in the opening matchday at the Old Football pitch while Epic Alliance faces Blue Whales 70 minutes later at the same venue. Other Pot 1 fixtures include; City FC vs Clippers FC (4:20PM) and Achievers FC vs Da-ebs FC (5:30PM).
In Pot 2, last year’s beaten finalists, Tom Tom FC will battle it out with United Raiders FC by 2pm on Tuesday, November 18th, 2024. Other fixtures for the day include; Black Titans vs Blaze United FC (3:10PM), Soccer Net FC vs United Superstars (4:20PM) and Tech Pirates vs Alpha FC (5:30PM)
In the Female Category, ASSE will face United FC while Fierce Falcons will battle with Sunrise Strikers for a place in the next round. Other fixtures include; Chomsky FC vs Microbiology, RN Rangers vs Chemical Female Team, The Formidables vs Anthropology and Archaeology and Obaro Babes vs Plato Feminine.
The male category will feature 11 players per team with matches lasting sixty minutes over two equal halves. In the female category, participating teams will feature 5 on-field players while matches will last thirty minutes over two equal halves. All games of the competition are set to be played at the Old Football pitch, University of Ibadan in a straight knockout format.
