The organizers of the Seals Cup Competition officially announced on Friday the commencement of registration for the 2025 edition, scheduled to run from May 2 to May 10.
Unarguably the biggest Inter Departmental Competition in the University of Ibadan, the Seals Cup Competition is famously known for its highly competitive nature and large fan turn-out.
The tournament — now in its 7th edition — is organized by the office of the Students’ Union Sport Secretary and features matches in both the male and female Categories.
For this year’s edition, the male participating teams are to pay a sum of N25,000 registration fee while their female counterparts pay N10,000.
The competition will feature 32 male departmental teams and 16 female teams; registration will also be based on a ‘First Come, First Serve Basis’.
Although opened until May 10th, registration may close earlier than that if all slots are taken before the deadline.
The 2025 Seals Cup tournament starts on the 21st of May 2025 and would run for 3 weeks.
