The Rotaract Club, University of Ibadan on the 28th of June, 2025 held her dinner event, where the executive powers changed hands from one set to the next.
The event which was held at Bayse 1 Hotel Samonda, saw the inauguration of the new president, Rtr. Adebunmi, Obisesan Praise.
The former President, Olapade Adebayo Beloved who had spent exactly one year in office mentioned that he was filled with gratitude to God and ROTA UI for the opportunity to serve the club.
He also stated that he was grateful to his board of directors for their support to his office during his tenure.
“I’m grateful for the opportunity to serve and lead this incredible club. ROTA UI @ 55 is a testament to the power of service, impact, fellowship, and legacy. I have no doubt the club will continue to thrive under new leadership.” He said.
Ayomiposi, a ROTA member expressed anticipation at the changes the new president would put in place.
“I expect a lot, because a lot has been done by the past president… basically, I expect that she’ll carry on the legacy and do more.” She said.
The event also marked 55 years of ROTA’s service to the society, and the start of a new ROTA Year.
