Non Kutites have not been left out of the Kuti Hall management’s decision to fine defaulters as students from other halls pay 2k fine into Secretary of the Hall Warden’s account.
Isah, a non Kutite who came around to patronize the hall cafeteria prior to the 2PM deadline has since received a 2k fine from the Hall management.
“I was at the canteen at a few minutes to 2 o clock. When I got here, I realized that they have locked the gate and people are outside trying to access the hostel. When I got here,” Isah said.
He also explained that he tried speaking with the Chief Security Officer that he isn’t a Kutite but he wasn’t considered.
“I talked to the CSO that I was not a member of the hall and he said he doesn’t concern him. I’ve been here for over an hour and it wasn’t up to 3 o clock yet. He said that any body that have been locked in will pay the fine. It was around 2:30 then and he said by 3, the fine will be 3k,” he concluded.
Students who are unable to pay the fine have since been issued fines via an internal memorandum from the Hall while others have since made payment into Joseph Adewale Oyebamiji’s private account.
