The University of Ibadan Students’ Union has announced through a WhatsApp broadcast on Monday, 2nd of March, 2026, the Physical Orientation for Freshers has been rescheduled from Tuesday, March 3rd, to Monday, March 9th, 2026.
Sequel to the physical resumption of fresh students on the University campus on Monday, 2nd of March, 2026, the physical orientation for the fresh students was previously scheduled to be held on Tuesday, 3rd of March, 2026 according to the University calendar for the 2025/2026 academic session.
According to the WhatsApp broadcast, the two-day physical orientation programme has been rescheduled for Monday, 9th March 2026, and Tuesday, 10th March 2026, while the matriculation is still scheduled for Wednesday, 11th March 2026, as previously indicated in the academic calendar.
Furthermore, the WhatsApp broadcast emphasises punctuality and availability of fresh students for the orientation and matriculation programmes. According to the WhatsApp broadcast, “all fresh students are strongly advised to be present and punctual, as these programs are foundational to your academic journey within the University”.
Additionally, it also added that details on the venue for the orientation and commencement times will be communicated through the official channels, though such official channels were unstated.
