Philosophy edged Statistics in a thrilling 3–2 victory on Wednesday at the Zik Hall Maracana as they booked their place in the final.

In an action-packed encounter marked by early goals, a red card, and moments of brilliance from both sides Philosophy wasted no time asserting their dominance, in the opening 10 minutes into the first half.

The goal courtesy of Heritage came via a penalty kick, after a controversial handball was called inside the box. Moments later, Statistics suffered a defensive lapse following a red card.

Philosophy capitalized on their momentum, doubling their lead as Anwuli finished off a swift counterattack to make it 2–0.

Statistics, showing the courage of their conviction, responded almost immediately. Straight from the kickoff, Eniola found the back of the net, restoring hope for her side before the break — 2-1.

The second half saw a change in tempo as Statistics brought on a new player at the restart, leading to a series of back-and-forth exchanges between both teams. Despite the pressure, Philosophy extended their lead once more after Heritage received a well-delivered cross from Anwuli, jabbing home to make it 3–1.

Statistics pulled one back just five minutes later. Yinka picked up the ball, drove forward, and rifles it into the top right corner to make it 3–2.

Statistics pushed hard for an equalizer, but Philosophy held firm to secure the win.

Statistics will face off against Archeology in a third-place play off on Friday, as Philosophy go against KHE in the final.
