PERFECT LIFT

While it watched and hunger waiting,

Flight was sad and sun rays bathing,

Through the fields of green to roam

Hoping now to find a home.

Wings are free but pains to bear,

Flipping hard, the wind could hear

All I know as time not still

Search was on to fall not ill.

Perfect sense was made at last,

The source not seen but scent so vast

On slopes and hills and shadows resting,

Tough to bear a stress so lasting.

How I wish the insect cried

For me to show I never lied.

It sits on leaves to rest its wings

But time shall tell that hunger stings.

Few miles away its treasure laid

In beauty’s robe that never fade.

It tried so hard to take a lift

And wind was there, the move so swift.
