Pathetic display of affection occurs when couples have that overwhelming desire to be all over each other centimeters away from your own face. It is quite cute seeing a couple holding hands and leaning for a little peck, but a passionate tongue twisting make out session that would involve hip-holding with no room for Jesus in between them , Now! That’s disgusting.
Some couples hold each other like it is their last few minutes on earth or like they are trying to be morphed into one. Girls are mostly guilty of PDAs, I don’t understand the need to hold your boyfriend in public like Titanic is about to sink. I have once witnessed crazy hormonal couples making out in Heritage Park. At the first glance, I thought they were whispering to each other’s lips. I almost got knocked down by a car looking at them. It was all types of awful. What is it about the trees that turned them on?
Online PDAs are the most annoying. I have a few BBM contacts who like to put up statuses about how much they love their boyfriend/girlfriend, how lucky they are to be in a relationship, how they can’t wait to be married to whoever it is and how they are currently snuggled up in bed. Their display message usually reads “I just can’t wait to be with my baby” “It is cold in here, I miss bae” “chilling with boo” These messages are usually followed by a thousand full-stops. Just so you know, an ellipsis only uses three full-stops.
After reading their display messages, I am usually sick to my stomach and I always give unsolicited advice to these girls. It is not surprising when they say “if you don’t like it, delete me” “it is my phone so I can do whatever I like”. It became my business when you decided to shove your relationship down my throat. It is not because am single. I think it is great you are in love, probably the best feeling ever but so is half of the people in the world. So you and the love you feel should take several seats, Nobody cares!
Nobody wants you to put over –the- top statuses on social media about how crazy in love you are or how you are snuggled up to your loved one while you watch TV. Nobody wants to see pictures of you and “Bae” that leave little or nothing for the imagination. Nobody wants to see you attacking each other’s lips. It makes everyone uncomfortable. If the image above didn’t put you off, then you are probably one of those that do it.
