A lot of new generation phrases have been coined to describe life, people have gone through a lot of things that turned them into poets, philosophers and evangelists, I’m sure you have as well.
“Life is a pot of beans” they say, because the things that you banked on didn’t turn out well and the people that you trusted didn’t turn up when you needed them the most. You’ve had emotional outbursts and extreme reactions. You swore never to trust anyone and never to go the extra mile, but then, you still do, and truly, some don’t and they are better for it, while others are not.

I have learnt in the short time I’ve lived that life is beautiful if only you have the right attitude towards people and situations. It is important to know that strength comes from within and not without. If you do not believe in you and find happiness in yourself, you might just be miserable forever. You cannot give what you do not have. You need to love yourself to love other people well enough. Find strength in the things that you love about you and the things that people admire you for. Build yourself into an edifice that no one can tear down, such that even if you get stabbed in the back, you can turn around and smile.
The people around you are not necessarily bad; they are only human like you. No matter how hard they try, they’ll still hurt you and no matter how hard you try, you’ll still hurt them. I have understood that the seemingly hard times we go through gives us the experience required for the next phase of life.
Being positive is not being foolish; it’s understanding that better things are ahead.
Forgiveness is not weakness; it’s knowing that when you err, you’ll also need to be forgiven.
