The legislative arm of Nigerian Universities Education Students Association (NUESA) at its sitting held on Saturday 20th August, 2016 suspended its General Secretary, Chijioke for four weeks for negligence of duties and also for being incompetent enough for the office of the General Secretary.

It should be noted that the General Secretary has been accused by many an educator of being incompetent after the apology letter he wrote following the accusation of his of his not providing educators with the free Wi-Fi he promised while campaigning.

The letter it learnt was filled with elements of informalities and it later became evident that he could not write a formal letter.

In response to his suspension, Mr Chijioke on Sunday morning took to WhatsApp to call on educators to help him in an emotional message.

He claimed in the broadcast that his suspension was unjust and that he was suspended because he is an “outsider”.

“So, you all can see why I was and have been surprised and overwhelmed by the amount of unjust reprimand and prejudice I have been getting just because I am a young outsider trying to achieve his dreams in a foreign land.”

The FLC also suspended Akinjobi Victor Dayo, the association’s PRO for three weeks for neglecting his duties.

Akinjobi was also not present at the sitting. His excuse that he was injured in a football match was dismissed after some honourable members claimed that they saw him watching a football match at Zik Hall.
