Change can be for good or bad, it all depends on you. We determine who we are despite the influence of anything affecting such decisions. Gone are those days when the sanctity of man was really recognised and respected. Our forefathers were men of noble character and will always show it I all aspect of their life the noble women of then were known by their distinct mode of dressing; their body well covered in their loose and respectable garment (iro and buba). The great men are adored in their complete whole garment. They really looked nice in their „agbada‟ and other fitting garment. These are the signs of the noble people. Then, it was the slaves that were half-naked; the male servants will only have knickers while the female folks cover only their chests alongside with the short skirts they have. “A desire to be observed, considered, esteemed, praised, beloved and admired by his fellows is one of the earliest as well as the keenest disposition discovered in the heart of man.” John Adams Human beings, females especially, in order to be observed have gone into extreme in order to achieve this in all aspect. Fashion is not left out and this has taken the turn for worse. The women of nowadays have lost their chastity and value. The global warming is not only evident on the climate only, but also on the fashion statement of the female folks; all the way from the „iro‟ and „buba‟ as well as the loose garments of the noble English women, it has been warmed globally to the state we find ourselves; a state of singlets and micro-mini skirts. The beauty of a woman is now a function of how nude she is. It is, of course, a direct proportionality; the more nude you are, the more you are admired. This is obvious in all aspects of life; the music and film industry, administration, business organisation and so on that it even crept into the academia. The lectures as well as the students are well deep-rooted in the appalling menace. The so claimed religious people are not also left out. What is the essence of the hijab on a tight fitting micro-mini skirts with sleeves shirts? Why will you have your ears unpierced or without earrings and yet, the icon is skirts that must never reach the knees with undescribable shirtsThe world is in a wounded state due to this among other immoralities that are obtained from us. . Hence, I have to agree with Michael Jackson that we have to heal our wounded world; the chaos, despair, and senseless destruction we see today are a result of the alienation that people feel from each other and their environment. Then we do not have to alienate them but move to them and help in healing the world. Seriously my dear female friends, if you have to be observed, considered, esteemed, praised, beloved and admired, then you do not have to let go of your values. Please, stop causing confusion in the society, please save the male of evil thoughts. Why must you physiologically and emotionally rape us and expect us not to react? I say, and stand by it that the cause of rape (physically) is from the females themselves. They dress indecently, this is an action and according to Isaac Newton, there has to be a reaction which of course is the opposite direction though, might not be equal. Have you ever heard of a well-dressed Christian sister being raped or a real hijab sister being harassed? You caused the emotional disorder; hence, you have to face the brutal consequence of being physically raped. Dress well sister and you will not be raped. I say on behalf on the concerned male folks; Dear females, please allow us to concentrate in class, allow us to walk freely on the streets without being knocked down by a car, allow us to unsinfully gaze from our blocks in Zik hall, allow us to concentrate on what we should concentrate on. We beg, what is not right is not right. You do not have to go all nude before we notice you, you are highly recognised. Those who admire you only because of your nudity are those who will take advantage of that, and once they get what they want, they are done with you. Those that really need you do not need you to be nude before they get attracted to you.
