The Federal High Court in Ibadan on Wednesday, 2nd Of April 2025 heard and adjourned the first hearing of the suit filled by Hon Linus Nice against the management of the University of Ibadan.
The adjournment followed a submission by the counsel representing the University of Ibadan that he was only served the court notice on the 27th of March 2025 and so it was still within the 7 day window, by court proceeding, to reply to the notice.
Having heard the prayers of the both counsels who agreed for an adjournment to a later date, the court agreed to adjourn hearing to the 15th of April 2025 to allow for a fair hearing and allow the respondents adequate time to present their case in court.
It is of note that aside a handful of students from the Concerned Students organization, no Students’ Union officer from the Executive council or Principal officer of the Students’ Representative Council were present in court today.
