The University of Ibadan has emerged second at the Engr. (Chief) Jubril Dotun Sanusi Inter-campus debate competition held at Ilaji Hotel and Sport Resort, Akanran on Wednesday.
The University was represented by Mong Victor of Alexander Brown Hall and Abidoye Joshua of Kuti hall and received 150,000 naira for finishing in second place.
Adeseun Adedoyin came first with 200,000 naira while Ladoke Akintola University of technology, Ogbomosho, came third and awarded 100,000 naira respectively.
The theme of competition was ” preparing students for Success in the 21st century: Student Autonomy and Agency versus Traditional Authoritarian Approaches”.
Other schools at the competition were College of Education, Lanlete, Emmanuel Alayande Colleg of Education, and Oyo state college of Agric & technology, Igboora.
