
The Junior Chambers International University of Ibadan chapter, Sunday, 28th, held her second general assembly for the 2024/25 LO year, which also doubled as her first semester’s Induction ceremony at the Faculty of Science Large Lecture Theatre (LLT).
Out of 190 students who applied to join the organization, only 88 applicants were accepted. The newly inducted members took their oaths and also recited the JCI creed. Also, outstanding new members were awarded. Fadeyi Faithfulness was awarded the best Inductee, and Olaseyinde Nicole got the award for the most promising inductee.
The event was themed: “The Power Of Engagement: Embracing Full Potentials Through Active Participation”, and was graced by prominent JCIN, and non-JCIN members including Cynthia Akhagbeme- Simeon, 2024 President JCI Ibadan Elite, who was also the guest speaker for the event; JCI Ambassador Kayode Ojoye, the 2023 Director of Skills Development JCI Ikeja, and he spoke on the theme of the event; the University of Ibadan Student Union President, Aweda Bolaji, and President of the Literary and Debating Society UI, Ogonna Okere.
