NAPS’ FINALIST OF THE WEEK

This week, NAPS PRESS features Mr. Adesanya Oreoluwa Idris. He is a politician by nature, a very intelligent, outspoken and engaging gentleman. He was once the Assistant General Secretary of the premier faculty, the Faculty of Arts. Read on to know so much more about this young man.

 

IDNAPS PRESS:Can we meet you?

ID:Some people call me ID, while to others, I’m known as “powerful”. I was born into the family of Alhaji Olatunde and Mrs Olubamigbe Adesanya. I am from a polygenous home actually. I had my primary education at Federal Government College Nursery and Primary school Odogbolu, Ogun State, after which I proceeded to Federal government college Odogbolu popularly called FEDGO for my secondary education.

NAPS PRESS:What is your relationship status?

ID:I am single and still scrambling for a sexy lady.

NAPS PRESS:Why did you choose to study philosophy?

ID:Although I never knew much about philosophy, I knew it had to do with reasoning and so I fell in love with it. For this reason, I made philosophy my second choice, making law my first choice discipline.

NAPS PRESS:Aside from philosophy, what else do you do?

ID:Well, I participate in politics. That’s my profound area of interest. I am also a writer.

NAPS PRESS:What are your hobbies?

ID:I love reading, writing, playing around and interacting with people.

NAPS PRESS:What are your likes and dislikes?

ID:I actually like ladies, children and politics. As regards my dislikes, I do not like people showing a character that is different from their real character.

NAPS PRESS:What is your favourite food?

ID:I love wheat with well flavoured vegetable soup.

NAPS PRESS:What is your favourite colour?

ID:I love blue. It expresses why I am a Chelsea fan.

NAPS PRESS: Do you have any skill, talent or extra activities you engage in?

ID:Well, my most unexplored exceptional skill is writing, but I am popularly known with politics.

NAPS PRESS:What is your most memorable day in life?

ID:The day I gained admission into the University of Ibadan.

NAPS PRESS:What remains till date your most memorable day in UI?

ID:The day I was elected the Assistant General Secretary of the Association of Faculty of Arts Students.

NAPS PRESS:Can you tell us your most challenging moment?

ID:Well, going straight, it was actually the moment I contested for AFAS president. It was really tasking.

NAPS PRESS:What are your happy moments?

ID:Well, I am usually happy when I am in the midst of my friends, ID and AY. Of course, with Favour around me, I am most gladdened.

NAPS PRESS:What are your best moments?

ID:My best moments are the moments when I surmount challenges. I feel great.

NAPS PRESS:What was your most embarrassing moment in UI?

ID:Contesting for AFAS president. It was embarrassing having to face criticisms from very hostile and strange students.

NAPS PRESS:Who is your role model?

ID:If I should have a role model, it should be Fela Anikulapo Kuti, for his undying struggle for the preservation of human rights.

NAPS PRESS:If you could date a classmate, who would you date?

ID:Well, this is like a puzzle, for all the ladies in my class are wonderful.

NAPS PRESS:Who is your favourite lecturer?

ID:It used to be Late Prof. Owolabi. So far, Dr Adegbindin has been my best friend so far amongst my lecturers.

NAPS PRESS:What are your favourite courses?

ID:PHI 102, PHI 202, PHI 201 and a host of others.

NAPS PRESS:What are your most challenging courses?

ID:PHI 101, PHI 302 and PHI 307

NAPS PRESS:Who in your opinion is the most promising finalist?

ID:All finalists are promising with great potentials. I recommend Idris Agboola for that.

NAPS PRESS:Who in your opinion is the most admirable finalist?

ID:Wonuola is much pretty and attractive, for me, she is admirable.

NAPS PRESS:Who in your opinion is the most enterprising finalist?

ID:Julius Eyebiokun. He is a businessman.

NAPS PRESS:Who in your opinion is the most controversial finalist?

ID:*LOL* we are all controversial in 400 level philosophy, no one is exceptionally controversial.

NAPS PRESS:Who in your opinion is the most respected finalist?

Agboola Idris

NAPS PRESS:Who in your opinion is the most sophisticated finalist?

ID:That I do not know, I want to believe most of my classmates are.

NAPS PRESS:Who in your opinion is the friendliest finalist?

ID:Well, Mr. Oni has always been a brother to everyone.

NAPS PRESS: What is your philosophy of life?

ID:I believe in doing good to everyone, even when you are paid back with evil. A person has never truly lived until he helps others to achieve their goals.

NAPS PRESS:After UI, what’s next?

ID:I would love to fulfill my dream of being a writer, activist and politician. I would also proceed for my master’s degree.

NAPS PRESS:Where do you see yourself in the next 10 years?

ID:*HMMNN!* it is only God Almighty that can answer that, but it is my wish that by then I wish to have been an accomplished scholar and politician.

NAPS PRESS:Can you give a few words of advise to NAPSites?

ID:You might not have a passion for what you study, but always bear in mind the fact that it’s a God-given privilege to study philosophy. You will never regret studying philosophy.

NAPS PRESS:What’s your journey so far?

ID:Though tasking, I have achieved various or several experiences in this foundation. I have learned politically, intellectually and socially.

NAPS PRESS:FINAL WORDS…

ID:If I have anything left to say, it must come in form of an encouragement to fellow NAPSites and Finalists never to allow challenges of life to overwhelm them, even after graduating. It may not be easy, but remember, you have acquired the necessary knowledge that is relevant for you to forge ahead in life. Borrowing from the great words of Abraham Lincoln, “note one thing, that your resolution to be great is greater than any other thing”. Love you all. IDD
