The Mellanby Hall Press Organization, on Saturday, November 8, 2014, officially admitted new members into the organization. The event, which was held at the Hall’s Senior Common Room, had in attendance the Hall Chairman, Mr Bada Lateef, the UCJ president, Mr Folayemi Kayode, Mr Alvin Michael, the editor of Campus Times and some editors of other press organizations. Speaking at the event, Mr Alvin Usifo, encouraged the recruits to stand out in their duties as pressmen. He also spoke in detail about the need to be courageous and truthful and most importantly, he encouraged them to read voraciously.
