NAPS PRESS: What’s Your Relationship Status?

Yetunde: About my relationship status, I would say I’m happy

NAPS PRESS: What Are Your Hobbies?

Yetunde: I like dancing. I portrayed that at the pageant.I also enjoy reading and sleeping. I love sleeping a lot.

NAPS PRESS: What Is Your Favourite food?

Yetunde: I do not know if it will shock you, but my favourite food is Amala and ewedu without Gbegiri. Just Amala, Ewedu and Fish with other things.

NAPS PRESS: What Was Your Feeling When You Won The Pageantry?

Yetunde: I was ecstatic, I was over excited. The excitement was over the roof. I just don’t know how to describe the feeling.

NAPS PRESS: What Motivated You To Contest?

Yetunde: My passion for pageantry was my motivation. I contested in my secondary school and I won. I also contested in Queen Idia Hall and won. It’s all God’s doing. Also I will like to make a difference with the crown both for future contestants and Uites in general.

NAPS PRESS: What Was Your Experience At Bootcamp Like?

Yetunde: It was fun. I learnt a lot. Our behaviours were watched and we were corrected at places where we lacked. We also had pep talks with several personalities. It was a place of connection for the contestants, and friendship webs were created.

NAPS PRESS: Were You At Any time Intimidated?

missuiYetunde: I was at one time intimidated; I was scared and almost dropped out. I was also disorganized before due to some unknown forces. Then I got encouraged ‘I had gone to far to drop out’.

NAPS PRESS: We Heard That You Are Proud, How True Is That?

Yetunde: Well, one of my dislikes is pride I detest pride, I do not like it. I talk to everybody and anybody. Some people may think that I am proud because I have been accused of not returning greetings on several occasions. The reason for this is I use glasses and I can’t see people from afar when I am not with my glasses and I think people misjudge that for pride. I’m sorry I am not proud.

NAPS PRESS: What Keeps You Going?

Yetunde: God and my parents. I want to make my parents proud and I want them to have this stand that their daughter is doing well in her academics and social life and I want to fulfil God’s plan for my life.

NAPS PRESS: What Is Your Take On Life?

Yetunde: I think life is not hard if you do not take it hard. People that take life hard are people that cannot do things. Once I tell myself I will do this, it is not hard, I am going to do it. It pulls me down to say I cannot do it.

NAPS PRESS: Are your family in support of what you do?

Yetunde: Yes they are. I called my Mother and she was even more excited than I was and she prayed for me.

NAPS PRESS: How Do You Manage Pageantry With Your Studies?

Yetunde: I won’t mix, I will balance it, make it equal. I believe my classes won’t take forever; the occasions will take longer than my classes so I will attend classes first. I subscribe to the saying that ‘a Queen is never late, every other person is a bit early’. So classes first.
