The University of Ibadan Students’ Representative Council has on Saturday, February 17, 2024, tasked the Audit Committee to introspect into the financial state of the Union.
The 10th Assembly of the UI’SRC announced this resolve in a bid to review the financial state of the Union.
This development was announced in lieu of the constitutional concern and hours-long debate, experienced while treating the End of the Year Party matter, which aroused regarding sponsorship and the unawareness of the Students’ Representative Council about the held event.
The event, Finem Anime, was held in December 2023, as an end of the year party by the Students’ Union.
As provided for in the constitution according to Article XXVIII (F), “the Audit Committee’s Report shall be submitted to the Finance Committee of the Council, and such audited account will be sent to the University authorities for necessary action”.
