Habeeb Abdul and Aisha Yusuf, representing the University of Ibadan, have emerged first runner up in this year’s Leap Africa debate competition.
They emerged runner-up at the grand finale of the competition which started several weeks ago in Lagos this afternoon.
To get to the Finals, they defeated various institutions from all over the country in various rounds leading up to the finals.
Both speakers, who are members of the school’s British Parliamentary debate society, will receive a cash prize of N1.5 million for their podium finish.
