Following the suspension of the 8-month strike by the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU), academic activities are expected to resume at the University of Ibadan on Monday, 24 October, 2022.
UCJ UI reliably gathered that the new date was announced by the University Senate on Monday, 17 October, at a meeting where it revised the 2021/2022 academic calendar which initially kicked off on January 30, 2022, before it was disrupted by the ASUU strike.
The Dean of Students, Professor Keye Abiona shared details of the new calendar with UCJ UI. He said students are expected back on campus on Sunday, 23 October, while lectures would commence on Monday, 24 October.
The University Management is yet to publish the new calendar.
