The Junior Chambers International Nigeria, University of Ibadan, inducted 73 new members at its Induction/Oath Taking Ceremony on Sunday, October 1.
The event, held at the Faculty of Science Lecture Theatre, also marked its second General Assembly for the session.
In attendance at the event were the Keynote Speaker, Olugbenga Ogunbowale, the Theme Speaker, Precious Ishola, among others.
Speaking at the event, Precious Ishola who spoke on the theme, “Entrepreneurship and Innovation: Promoting the Culture of Leadership and Individuality”, described entrepreneurship as the art of deploying leadership in business, stressing that not all business owners are entrepreneurs.
He also identified Problem detection, Innovative/Tech-inclined Solution, Value Proposition (USP) and Risk as the four stages that define an entrepreneur.

The event also featured the presentation of awards to outstanding members, swearing in of new Board Members, and the nomination of two members into the Constitution Review Committee.
New members of the constitution review committee include: JC Busoye Matthew and JC Muheez Oyedele.
During the presentation of awards, out of 7 inductees’ groups that worked on a particular project, Group 7 emerged winner with 69 points, Group 1 as first runner-up with 67 points and Group 5 as second runner-up with 65.5 points.

Most Outstanding Family (September) – Seun Omotayo Family
Most Outstanding Directorate – Director of Growth and Retention
Most Efficient Board Member – JC Owofade Gbemileke Temitayo
Best Inductee – JC Omosolape
Most Promising New Member – JC Oyeniyi Israel
Most Outstanding New Member – JC Islamia Olawoyin
