FULL LIST: UIMSA press and Indy press win big at UCJ awards

The Union of Campus Journalists, University of Ibadan (UCJUI), has on Friday, 19th December 2025, awarded some members of the union for their outstanding performances in campus journalism during the outgoing tenure. This was done at the UCJ dinner, which was held at the Music concert hall and had in attendance Alumni of the UCJ, campus journalists and members of the wider student body.

The ceremony, which also marked the end of the union’s 37th administration and the inauguration of the now 38th administration, was filled with many activities, including the presentation of awards to these campus journalists and Local Press Organisations (LPOs), amongst others. Deserving campus journalists were recognised for their dedication to the journalism practice in the university, as well as their quality contributions to the union during the session.

Best Entertainment Writer- Ladapo Wisdom

Best Sports Writer- Adekunle Oni-Daniel

Best Health Writer- Rodiyah Khidir
