OBINNA: My name is Okafor Emmanuel Obinna. I hail from Anambra State and I am from a family of 8 (two boys and six girls). I attended St Anthony’s Nursery and Primary School, then Austica Memorial College and here am I today, a student of the Premier University, Ibadan studying Philosophy. I was also the former Sports Director of this great department. I love the colour blue. My favourite food is stewed rice and I’m very single.
NAPSPRESS: Did you choose philosophy or did philosophy choose you?
OBINNA: I chose philosophy.
NAPSPRESS: Ok, so, aside philosophy, what else do you do?
OBINNA: I play Ogene music though it is only in school here; I play football too.
NAPSPRESS: What are your leisure interests?
OBINNA: Listening to music, watching movies, gisting with friends and I meditate during my quiet time.
NAPSPRESS: What are your likes and dislikes?
OBINNA: I like a lot of things, I dislike Pretences and lies.
NAPSPRESS: Tell us about your most memorable day(s) in U.I.
OBINNA: The day I celebrated my birthday in 300 level (2014). It was fun having almost all my course mates in my apartment.
NAPSPRESS: Tell us about your most memorable day(s) in life?
OBINNA: The day I represented my local government in a state quiz competition and won.
NAPSPRESS: Tell us about your happiest moment(s).
OBINNA: Hahahahaha……..primary school days.
NAPSPRESS: Do you have any entrepreneurial skill(s)?
OBINNA: I am into business. I deal in plumbing materials and tiles.
NAPSPRESS: Who are your closest friends in philosophy?
OBINNA: Aanu, Anselm, Mattias, Samuel, Queency, Tolu, Light and Machiavelli.
NAPSPRESS: Who is your role model?
OBINNA: Aliko Dangote.
NAPSPRESS: If you could date a classmate, who would it be?
OBINNA: Fatimah, she is intelligent, humble and matured.
NAPSPRESS: Who in your opinion is the most promising finalist and why?
OBINNA: Aanu, because he always aspire to reach the top.
NAPSPRESS: Who in your opinion is the most admirable finalist and why?
OBINNA: Tope, she is cute and reserved.
NAPSPRESS: Who in your opinion is the most enterprising finalist and why?
OBINNA: Machiavelli (eja nla) and Taiwo; they are good at what they do.
NAPSPRESS: Who would you say is the most controversial finalist?
OBINNA: Awoniyi Tayo; for him, his views must always supersede others’, but you cannot know how cool he is until you move close to him.
NAPSPRESS: What are your favourite courses?
OBINNA: Philosophy of Mind and African Philosophy (207).
NAPSPRESS: Who is your favourite lecturer?
OBINNA: They all have unique characters which make them admirable.
NAPSPRESS: Of all the philosophers you have studied so far, who is your favourite and why?
OBINNA: Protagoras, for his philosophical view “man is the measure of all things for things that are that they are and for things that are not that they are not”
NAPSPRESS: Who in your opinion is the most respected finalist?
OBINNA: Olatunbosun Taiwo, she avoids embarrassment.
NAPSPRESS: Who in your opinion is the most sophisticated finalist and why?
OBINNA: Sade and Machiavelli, they have tastes for good things.
NAPSPRESS: Who do you think is the friendliest finalist?
OBINNA: Olatunbosun Taiwo, she has time for everybody.
NAPSPRESS: How has the journey been so far?
OBINNA: The toughness progresses simultaneously with the level.
NAPSPRESS: After UI, what next?
OBINNA: NYSC, then make some cool money and go for Masters afterwards.
NAPSPRESS: Where do you see yourself in the next 10 years?
OBINNA: I will be globally recognised through my achievements in life.
NAPSPRESS: What is your philosophy of life?
OBINNA: That which you cannot sleep without thinking about is achievable if you can make a move towards it.

OBINNA: Success can only come when it bothers you to succeed.
