EXCLUSIVE: 200 Survival Football Competition

Innovation at its best. UItes are never left behind in almost all facet of life, sports inclusive. A new football competition is in town and it’s dubbed the 200 SURVIVAL. The tournament is an initiative that was drawn after a tournament named THE HUNDRED, established by the 100L students of the Department of Sociology.

According to one of the pioneering member, Mr Babatunde Olawale (Homeboy), “the name ‘200 Survival’ came into place and we started preparing since second semester last session.”

“Letters were sent across all departments in the university but only 30 of them responded which equals 30 teams, and currently, we have 24 teams after the merging of some together.” he said.

The two-legged straight knockout competition began on Sunday 17th November 2019 with KHE VS European studies match, which ended 2-2 and later continued on Wednesday due to the unavailability of the Football pitch.
