EXCLUSIVE: 10 Months After UCJ Report, UI Management Expels WeHaveFaith

The Management of the University of Ibadan has rusticated Adegoke Ayomide Faith, popularly known as WeHaveFaith, following allegations of sexual harassment leveled against him ten months ago.

This decision was reached at the sitting of the Students’ Disciplinary Committee Panel (SDC) held on Tuesday 22nd October and chaired by Prof. Peter Olapegba, the Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Administration.

According to a source who craved anonymity, WeHaveFaith’s defense on the floor of the house was dismissed due to flaws in his arguments. The management ordered him to vacate the school premises immediately.

Recall that in December last year, UCJUI published an exclusive that escalated the matter at the time, a publication that went viral and drew the attention of various authorities, including the Oyo State Government.

At the time of the misconduct, WeHaveFaith was an undergraduate of the Faculty of Law where he served as the Public Relations Officer of the Law Students’ Society (LSS).

UCJ’s report at the time, which was confirmed by former Students’ Union President, Samson Tobiloba Host, noted that the alleged incident occurred within the Union’s building.
