Nigerian billionaire, Aliko Dangote and writer, Chimamanda Adichie have been nominated for the award of Forbes Africa Person of the Year 2014.

The winner will be “the individual who, for better or worse, has had the most influence on business on the year gone by”, according to the Forbes Africa POY site.

The Director-General of the Nigerian Securities and Exchange Commission, ArunmaOteh was also nominated.

Other nominees are ThuliMadonsela, a South African who helped draft the country’s constitution in 1994 and was named one of Time’s 100 Most Influential People this year and DonaldKaberuka, a Rwandan economist and the president of the African Development Bank.

This year’s Forbes Africa Person of the Year Awards will take place on the 4th of December 2014.

D’banj & Don Jazzy will finally be working together again. D’banj has plans to make a 10th anniversary album, and revealed his former Mo-Hits partner would be on it.

“Awards matter to me. I would have been very disappointed if I was not given any award. No matter what we say, at the end of the day, the person who goes there and wins the award feels good about it,” the 28-year-old said in an interview.

The actress, who made her Bollywood debut in 2007 with Om Shanti Om, also feels that her 2012 released film Cocktail was the turning point of her career.

A New ‘Harry Potter’ Story Is Coming Soon

The new story will provide a 1,700-word backstory about Umbridge, including new details, plus Rowling “revealing first-person thoughts and reflections about the character,”.

Rowling released two other wizarding stories earlier this year, one detailing 33-year-old Harry at the Quidditch World Cup and another about singing sorceress Celistina Warbeck.

RCCG’S LIVING FAITH CONNECTIONS CHOIR WINS ‘BEST GOSPEL ACT’ AT MOBO AWARDS 2014

Gospel group ‘Living Faith Connections Choir’ were crowned ‘Best Gospel Act’ at the MOBO Awards 2014 which held on Wednesday, October 22 at London’s renowned Wembley Arena. Living Faith Connections Choir beat out Annastasia Baker, J. Vessel, Noel Robinson, and Kristina Myles to win the prestigious award.
