Queen Elizabeth II Hall, the Great Independence Hall, including Queen Idia Hall and Obafemi Awolowo Hall, all had an early crash out of this year’s Jaw Jar.
The preliminary rounds of the Inter-Faculty and Inter-Hall Debate Competition, with “THE NIGERIAN DREAM: THOUGHTS AND ACTIONS” as theme for this year, ran from Wednesday, September 26, 2018 to Friday, September 28, 2018 at Trenchard Hall, Faculty Lecture Theatre, Faculty of Science, and Faculty Auditorium, Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, University of Ibadan.
The following halls of residence made it to the next round of the competition; Alexander Brown Hall, Nnamdi Azikwe Hall, Kenneth Mellanby Hall, Sultan Bello Hall and Lord Tedder Hall, with Ransome Kuti Hall qualifying as best loser. Faculty of The Social Sciences, Faculty of Technology, Faculty of Science, Faculty of Arts, Faculty of Veterinary Medicine and Faculty of Education, with Faculty of Law as best loser, all made it to the Faculties’ Quarter Final Round.
The quarter final rounds for Jaw War 2018 are slated for Wednesday, October 10,
2018 (Faculties) and Friday, October 12, 2018, (Halls of Residence)
