Following the display of increment in tuition fee for freshers on the school portal, the Students’ Union President, Samuel Samson on Friday addressed the Student Representative Council at an emergency plenary.
Host, as the SU President is widely know, explained that to confirm the development, he reached out to the Dean of Students Affairs who initially told him that he was not aware of the development.
Speaking further, he noted that he reached out to ITEMS to get informed of what really happened and was told that the student portal was being test-run and there was a plan to fix tuition fees on the portal.
He proceeded by saying he tried to reach out to other principal officers but his effort was futile.
However, he said the Union has written a letter to the school management, calling for supension of the hike and a meeting between the school management and students.
“The union has written a letter to the school management, calling for two things: a suspension of whatever is happening and a meeting between the school management and the student union,” he added.
