Deeper Life High Schools Win First and Second Place at 2025 Sigma Quiz Competition

Two Deeper Life High School Campuses, Uyo and Aba won the first and second positions respectively at the 5th edition of the Roseline Etuokwu Sigma Quiz Competition.

The event was held at Trenchard Hall, UI and featured six schools from the six regions of Nigeria.

The schools included, Gombe High School, Gombe from the North East region, Deeper Life High School, Aba, South East, The Ambassadors College, Ota, South-West, Federal Government College, Suleja, North Central region, Dagama Academy, Gusau, North West and Deeper Life High School, Uyo from the South-South Region.

The competition featured three subjects, Mathematics, English and General Knowledge, each with 5 rounds and varying time limits.

However, the first results saw three ties between the schools, a tie for the first, second and third positions.

The Deeper Life High School Campuses tied for first position, Gombe High School and Federal Government College tied for 3rd place while Ambassadors College and Dagama Academy tied for 2nd.

A tie-breaker round was held and the final results placed Deeper Life High School, Uyo first, Deeper Life High School, Aba second, The Ambassador College, Ota, third and Dagama Academy, Gusau, fourth, while Federal Government College and Gombe High School tied for Fifth place.

There were several dignitaries in attendance, including representatives from the Oyo State Ministry of Education, Sigma Founder, Dr. Victor Etuokwu and his wife, Designates of his Royal Majesty, the Olubadan of Ibadan Land, Chief Adewale Abass Kadri, Jagun Balogun of Ibadan Land, the DVC UI, Prof. Peter Olakogba and many others.

The winning school went home with Five Million Naira, the first runner up was awarded Two Million Naira, while the school in third place received One Million Naira. Other schools received Five Hundred Thousand Naira each.
