The Centre for General Studies (CGS), University of Ibadan, has announced that students can now check their eligibility for the forthcoming second semester 2024/2025 GES examinations on the CGS portal.
According to a notice signed by the Deputy Registrar of the Centre, Oluwatoyin O. Dibosa, students are to log in to cgs.ui.edu.ng/portal using their matriculation number as both username and password to confirm the GES courses they are scheduled to write.
The Centre added that students who have registered for GES courses on the University portal but are still marked ineligible on the CGS portal should visit the CGS office with photocopies of their course registration forms on or before Friday, 21 November 2025, or present themselves at the examination venue.
The notice reiterated that only students duly registered for GES courses will be allowed to sit for the examinations, emphasising: “No registration for GES courses, no GES examinations and no UI degree.”
