The Association of Faculty of Art Students (AFAS) recently organized a two-day excursion to the south-west states of Osun and Ondo. After leaving the school premises much-later than promised on Thursday morning, the students headed for the Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU) Natural History Museum where life embalmed bodies, animal skeletons and ancient African monuments were on exhibition. Shortly after, the students were taken to the Idanre Hills in Ondo. It reportedly took 660 steps to reach the top of the hill where the AFASites partied, ate and slept overnight.
Waking up, the AFASites left the hills un-bathed and went on a rather lengthy journey to Erin-Ijesa Waterfalls during which they had their second and final meal. There, most students took the liberty to get their clothes off and swim in the water while others spectated and took pictures.
When questioned on his opinions about the excursion, Mayowa Akinola said, “It was much cooler than I expected. The overnight party was my favourite.” The crew reached campus on Friday around 8 pm.
