ABIKU – THE REBIRTH OF A LEADER

abiku

There is a saying that yesterday is history; tomorrow is a misery and today is a gift. This is why it is needful that everyone be congratulated for the gift which is, was, and is to come. This daily gift reflects that the creator of all things is faithful and just, sending down rain for both the wicked and upright. Some gifts are for personal purposes while others are for the good or betterment of all; some are short term, others long term; some are even gotten early enough for a future use.

No matter what or who the gift may be, it is meant to be use and handled well. It may be like the ancient powerful gift, which comes, goes and come again as it pleases. It belongs to a particular kingdom unknown to men of only physical senses; but also belongs to all who bear and fears it. Abiku belongs to all and belongs to none; not afraid of those who were before it, because in actual sense it has been in existence before it knew itself.

Take it or leave it the rebirth of this new leadership, to be headed by one who no longer prefer to be called or mentally pictured a General, is a gift which should not be taken or seen with levity. Buhari has once upon a time led this nation has a general always on guard, ready for what he may face. Now he is back after several defeats to prove himself as a true leader; one who fears no one but respect everyone; ready to use awesome powers to stabiles and restore dignity in any sick system of the country. His inauguration speech even speaks a lot.

The first to be thought is that though soldier goes; soldiers come and the barrack still remains, does that mean that a military man will resist to be who he really is; who the world and the divers wars has made him be? There is a saying that if a river forgets it source it will dry up. The late George Bernard Shaw an Irish playwright documented that he never expects a soldier to think; this imply that soldiers should act by fighting and defending. Suppose that is the thought of the President; does it mean he does not want fight the battle with those who cause the country’s image to be tainted; or that he now prefers thinking like a democratic being, making the people who fake to represent the majority continue in their flaws? Perhaps he wants to use the strength of the aged and let the vice act out his thoughts.

A man who full of years who should use his strength, which is the experience that births wisdom, to counsel young minds or perhaps the so called leaders of tomorrow, is not now only involving himself but already in a battle after wars. Life is a battle field where a person beats and gets beaten then later eaten up by the soil.
