The Abdusalami Abubakar Postgraduate Hall, University of Ibadan, is gearing up to host the 3rd edition of its annual sports festival, the AAH Olympics. The 2025 edition of the AAH Olympics is set to run from Saturday, 22nd to Saturday, 29th November 2025, celebrating a week of sports and unity.
This year’s edition is held in honour of Professor Olamakinde Olapegba, the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Administration), whose contributions to student welfare and university development are being recognised through the festival.
Kicking off the event is a 5KM community Marathon and staff Walk-race on Saturday, 22nd November, starting at 6:30 am from the AAH PG Car Park. The festival also features a rich lineup of sporting events, including male soccer, Volleyball, Badminton, Table Tennis, Chess, Ludo, Scrabble and even Whot.
Participants have been encouraged to register early to secure their slot.
With its wide range of games and inclusive participation, the AAH Olympics is expected to continue its tradition as one of UI’s most vibrant sports festivals.
