Call him crazy, annoying, selfish, arrogant. Kanye Omari West is one of the few humans with no direct comparison. Kanye has always been Kanye, a mad artistic genius, Casanova, bohemian and now a Christian. Time Magazine named him one of the 100 most influential people in the world in 2005 and 2015. With 21 Grammy awards, 8 number one billboard albums and also being the only hip hop artist with four albums on Rolling Stone’s 2012 update of the ‘’500 greatest albums of all time’’, Kanye has indeed distinguished himself in the music industry.
Kanye is the counter definition of artistic flair found in many of our favourite music star. With none of the conventional conspicuous abilities we use to spot stars, this guy is more than a genius. He is the most important thing that happened to the way hip hop music is produced in the first decade of the 21st century. According to the rap star when he dropped of school to pursue a career in music, his friends and family tried to dissuade him. He went on to become a top hip hop record producer producing singles for top recording artistes like Jay Z, Alicia Keys and Ludacris. When he declared his intention of becoming a rapper, he was rejected by many record labels. In one of his interviews, Kanye said that he was advised to focus on what he was good at, which is making beats because they felt he was not good enough for a sellable rapper.
Now, Kanye is here again with claims of being a born again but this guy has a mercurial behavioural disposition. No one can predict what Kanye might do next. But the rapper seems determined to show the world his new love and faith. In his words,’’ when Hennessey was helpful to my life I told you guys, when it was fashion I told you guys now I am a born again, I’m free’’. To let they world, know what God had for him, he has been organising his own Sunday service- a weekly gathering, often invite-only, that features gospel-inspired remixes of classic songs of different genres and a gospel choir. His new album which was released in October is called Jesus is King, and he has promised another entitled Jesus is Born, will be released in December.
In his interview, with Beats 1 presenter Zane Lowe, he spoke on his addiction to pornography and sex, his new faith. ‘’ some people drown themselves in drugs and I drown myself in my addiction’’, he said, talking about how he felt addicted to pornography after finding his dad’s playboy magazine at a young age. He also said: ‘I unquestionably, undoubtedly the greatest human artist of all time’. He went on to boast, “God is using me to show off’’

Kanye also commented on his past feud with Drake, saying he wants to get back to positive energies’’. He said: ‘’God is funny. Drake lives four blocks down the street from me. So that shows you God has a sense of humour.’’ He went on to say that he sometimes walks to Drake’s house, but does not knock on the door to disturb him, instead leaving his mobile number with Drake’s security. ‘’You cannot be in service to God and be mad at your brother.’’
