The University of Ibadan men’s tennis team cruised their way to victory after double wins against Delta State University (Delsu) in straight games at the ongoing NUGA Games in the University of Jos.
In the opening encounter, UI displayed early control and consistency, taking the first game 4–1. Their precision in serves and confident baseline play set the tone for the rest of the contest.
The second game was a statement of dominance as UI wrapped things up with a flawless 4–0 victory, leaving Delsu struggling to find a response.
It was a comprehensive win for the Premier University, whose players showed not only superior skill but also composure and teamwork throughout both rounds. With this result, UI continues their impressive run in the tournament, having clinched a 2-0 win over the Lagos State University (LASU) football team in the first round of the group stage.
