Two Inductees Emerge Winners of Ambassador Taiwo Ailogwehme Awards

Two inductees, Nelson Gloria of UIMSA Press and Joshua Oyetoro of AFAS Press, have emerged as winners of the Ambassador Taiwo Ailogwehme Awards, claiming the Best Inductee and Most Energetic Inductee titles respectively.

In an interview with a correspondent of the Union of Campus Journalists, University of Ibadan (UCJ UI), Nelson Gloria, who won the Best Inductee Award, said, “I have always loved writing and wanted to do other things aside from medicine.”

When asked how she felt about the win, she added, “I feel happy and fulfilled… this is a win in general for UIMSA Press.”

Similarly, the winner of the Most Energetic Inductee Award, Joshua Oyetoro, shared that in his journey to becoming a campus journalist, he had to skip classes, work late nights to meet deadlines, and conduct several interviews. He noted that the award “came as a surprise,” adding that he is “grateful to God” and sees it as “a validation.”

Both awardees expressed gratitude and surprise at their wins.
