SEEKING TRUE LABOURERS IN A FILTHY HAVEN

By Seyi Adedokun

To some,it is a ghostly apparition. To some, it is hope at old age or a lullaby-loving terrain. While to others, its existence is just like a commonplace given a name for identification sake. There is no specific thing to qualify it as, either can it be a quantifiable substance_ if at all it is, it is like an amount of soil unsuitable for cultivation. But amidst this gory state of confused identification, some still wallow in either flippant or bright wealth. As defined by notable writer, “Nigeria is a chap of land”.

However a soil is, one will find a good seed to plant in it. To grow is no qualm, to be watered is not a history and to thresh the barley is also not an issue, but when many masters take a truncheon to also lead a crowd of people to the harvest point(s), there exists different decisions, will, command, options and methods. It should be noted that for unity to be achieved, one leader is needed. In a company of many leaders lies many followers with different will on a single motion.

Nigeria is older than its age. Before its amalgamation, it was probably an area named “Niger area”. After its naming ceremony, it was finally agreed to name it Nigeria. The British came, gave it formal education, gave it various options and intercepted its communication without the consent of its authority. It became Babel where structures of language, understanding, unity and will crumbled. Then arise Nigerians of old, who struggled for its independence, but unfortunately, it appears as just a political freedom other than a total freedom.
Amidst freedom exists a free dorm for all sort of practices. And when you examine the world’s statistics, these worms that affect Nigeria’s Union affect other countries. Kenya is a byspel of political heads where humiliation arises at National Super Alliance in both Senate and National Assembly. The song of threat flows to every angle and people pretend as if all is well. The make-up on the face of this tragic condition is even worse than Bobrisky. But as the personalities of the ruling class seizes to change in the change era, Nigeria is ironically out of recession. Since it took its short walk to freedom, it should have prepared its techniques of patching along the way. If a child forces itself from his mother’s back, he is assumed to be able to stand the ground pressure. But what would be of him who wishes to walk but has no bone in his legs? Foolishness can only make the blind to brag that he can save a cripple man.

In a sanctuary, what is expected to occupy the gallery and floor are people of various wills, burning in the mind, the necessity of bringing forth their essence and making it a force for growth. It is uneasy to pacify an obvious offense where it is not expected. We shouldn’t say offense shouldn’t be,and in the same vain, all these fallouts should not have been enormous If compunction is truly expressed. But in this sanctuary, even youths are waiting to gather their own lot and offend nature without any contrite attitude.

Much respect to the brothers that have been with us: recession, verbal violence, secession and education badluck as a backdrop. These have sent lazy people out to work harder than they’ve ever done.  Since corruption has been using Nigeria has its meals, biting it on every side, hidden sides of Nigerian people have been on a hill with no hiding place. We can assume that Allison Madueke’s theft actions was because she has been faced with recession, or why do rate of stealing and other criminal actions get multiple skulls that it’s leading innocent minds to stealing. In the real sense, she is a contributor to the vein of recession.  The government of some respected cabals, say Buhari-led administration may be truncated by verbal violence and “legal” violence. The latter is a form of violence against its citizens. This violence may be religious, tribal and supremacy. These are what occupies the organic minds of the leaders for 2 years. If it’s not the President, it will be someone from his cabinet.

Seeking true laborers in this cocoon is like falling mountains amidst numerous houses. Since the dead cannot see what it is of his grave, it shouldn’t be kneaded away that laborers who will not steal while mouth-opened, who will not match upon a sacred incense, who will not beguile their mother’s sons are needed to harvest the goods of the land for the people of the land. There shouldn’t be obeisance to the fact that under the current structural challenges, good leaders will not make a difference. What is facing the country is multiple headed apart from monetary deprivation, we have  governors in demon’s wears, chairmen in dragon’s tail, Chancellors in old forms of leadership that useless this generation and local heads with dark hearts. Good leaders have been gotten rid of because of their deep trust in wolves in sheep clothing.  Such filty haven seeking for good laborers.
