The draw for the male football event at the 2025 Nigerian University Games Association (NUGA) had been released on Friday 7th November 2025, with the University of Ibadan placed in Group B.
Group A consists of Delta State University, Ekiti State University, Kaduna State University, and the University of Nigeria, Nsukka.
Group B includes Lagos State University, University of Calabar, University of Ibadan, and Usman Danfodio University, Sokoto.
In Group C, Aliko Dangote University, Federal University of Technology, Akure, Niger Delta University, and the University of Maiduguri will compete.
The University of Ibadan team, known as the UI Pioneers, will face Lagos State University in their opening group fixture on Sunday, 9th November 2025
