On 20th June, 2015, the Association of Faculty of Arts Press inducted her new members in an induction ceremony which started around 12:45 pm at the Faculty of Arts Room 33. The Guest Speaker, Mr. Francis Amenaghawon of the Department of Communication and Language Arts, lectured extensively on key issues in Campus Journalism as well as on the ethos of being a mainstream Journalist. The editorial adviser in person of Dr. Yinka Egbokhare also addressed the new inductees on the need to be focused and have a genuine desire for journalism. The new inductees then took the Oath of Office and were awarded Certificates of Induction, by Mr. Ibrahim Alawode, the Vice-President Editorial, Union of Campus Journalist. The total number of students inducted were around 80. The event ended around 1:57 pm with the vote of thanks from Miss Bisola Aremu, the AFAS’ Press Deputy Editor-in-Chief.
