College of Medicine, University of Ibadan, has called on its Alumni members, corporate entities, and the general public to support its new project of hostel blocks construction for students.
This project is mainly a result of the mandate by the Medical and Dental Association of Nigeria (MDAN) that all clinical students of Medicine and Dentistry be accommodated within the premises of CoMUI to retain accreditation for the two programmes and insufficiency of space as half of the clinical students cannot be accommodated in the present hostel facility.
For the project, the Board of Management of the University College Hospital (UCH) has allocated 8,019sq/metres of land to CoMUI. However, CoMUI is still in need of donations to finance the project successfully and they have listed ways in which they can be supported which are general donations and payment for a part of the project which shall be named after the donor.
