The Campulse, UCJUI annual campus magazine set to resurface

The Union of Campus Journalists, University of Ibadan is set to release its much anticipated annual magazine, The Campulse.

The magazine which has not been published for some years is set to resurface as a result of many months of dedication from the Ad-hoc team put together by the erstwhile Vice President Editorial, Jummah Mujeeb. This, as described in his note contained in the magazine, is said to be one of the many reasons why the theme, Surviving Resonance, was adopted.

In his words (Jummah Mujeeb), as contained in the editor’s note, he put forward that ‘although I regret that this edition of the magazine could not be produced in hard copy, I am nonetheless grateful to Allah who made this a success. As some will say of a blessing in disguise, our inability to produce a hard copy gave us the initiative to go digital. And what better time to than now; when we’ve already been ushered into a digital revolution.’

The magazine which is an electronic one is 39 pages of journalistic content contributed and collated from many of the entries that came in when the call for articles was announced late last year. Topics ranging from Campus Issues, National politics, Comedy, Satires, Poems, Health, Democracy and other themes were explored.

The magazine will be available on the Union’s website for online reading as well as downloading on Monday, January 22, 2018.
