The Junior Chambers International, Nigeria (JCIN) of the University of Ibadan Chapter under the leadership of OGBAJE Mordecai Ojochogwu, has admitted 170 applicants after conducting her examination for 190 candidates on Saturday, July 27, 2019.
Report received from the Director of Communication of the 2019 Local organization year, Njideka OKAFOR disclosed that compulsory training held at the Faculty of Law of the University of Ibadan.
“Intending Jaycees at the close of applications were required to attend compulsory training sessions which held on the 25th and 26th of July at the Faculty of law. The training was conducted by seasoned and experienced Jaycees on Parliamentary Procedure, JCI Code of Conduct and Principles and History of JCI globally, in Nigeria and in the University of Ibadan”. The statement reads.
While 230 applications were received from fourteen faculties, 200 applicants attended the compulsory training session and 190 sat for the examination and oral interview session “as a way of testing their knowledge about the organization they sought to join.
Candidates who score below 50% are put on probation, while overall performance of candidates, according to the Director of Individual Opportunities, JCIN UI, Bukunmi KOLAWOLE, “was great, having a total of 149 candidates scoring above 60% and 170 candidates scoring above 50% with only 20 candidates scoring below 50%”.
