Life of an Icon: Adesua Tolulope Etomi

Tolulope Adesua Etomi is a Nollywood star with quite a large number of fans. She hit the spotlight after featuring in the movie “Knocking on heaven’s door” and subsequently taking a lead role in “Falling”. She has since then been actively involved in the entertainment industry.

  For a woman in her early thirties, she has worked her way up the ladder quite well and with a number of titles. While averting our minds to the fact that she has been nominees for countless awards, she won the 2016 Africa Magic viewers choice awards as Best actress in “Falling” and 2015 ELOY awards for actress of the year including 2015 Golden movie awards for “Discovery of the year” award among other awards. She has been part of few TV series among which is “Shuga” where she played the role of “Sheila“.

   Adesua Etomi is the youngest of three siblings from an Esan father and Yoruba mother. She attended Corona School in Victoria Island, Lagos and Queens’ College before moving to the U.K at the age of 13years. She did a diploma in “physical theatre.musical theatre and performing arts” at College Coventry in 2004 and later studied “drama and performance” in University of Wolverhampton with first class honours.

   She has featured as either a lead or actress in the following movies: The Arbitration, The wedding party 1&2, A soldier’s story, Out of luck, Couple of days, 10days in Suncity, King of the boys e.t.c.
