The Costume Institute, Gala at New York Metropolitan Museum of Arts is reputable for its annual and one of the biggest fundraising events. It was founded by Eleanor Lambert and first held in 1948. It’s mainly to encourage donations while celebrating the grand opening of its latest exhibition.
Over the years, it has commanded population especially from the entertainment industry. Each yearly exhibition is with a theme in which case, 2019 edition was tagged ” Camp: Notes on Fashion”.
This year edition of the event which took place on the 6th May was exceptionally colourfully with stars actually making their notes on fashion.
The exhibition was about 200 fine art and fashion items. There was also the dinner and evening performance by Cher. Notable sights to behold were Serena Williams, Kattyperry, Ezra Miller, Ciara, Lady Gaga, Celione Dion among others.
