Mr. Tijani Selim, General Secretary of the Association of Faculty of Arts Students (AFAS) recently, in his interview with AFAS press talked about his four-weeks suspension by the Faculty Legislative Council (FLC).
It would be recalled that the Faculty of Arts Legislative Council suspended Mr. Tijani at the last sitting based on his letter which wasn’t what the council asked for.
Mr. Tijani, when asked the reason for his suspension, he said “FLC said the letter I wrote was not apologetic and there were probably some errors in it.
“Being my first time in the office, I was alleged by the FLC to have mismanaged the AFAS office, that people just enter the office anyhow. Thus, two weeks later, I was summoned to the house for incompetence and mismanagement of the office. But actually, I don’t know what incompetence means to them.” He further revealed.
Meanwhile, he lamented how some AFASites insult him when he tells them to leave the office.
He urged his fellow executives to work with him in minimizing the way people use the AFAS office.
