FCMB ORGANIZES YOUTH ENTREPRENEURSHIP MASTERCLASS IN NIGERIAN UNIVERSITIES

The Youth entrepreneurship masterclass program held at Department of Theatre Arts, Faculty of Arts, University of Ibadan, commenced about 10am on 10th and 11th of May, 2018, with the presence of the Head of Digital Marketing of FCMB: Mrs. Lola Egboh, Zonal Head of FCMB: Mrs. Wunmi Kalejaiye, Branding Head of Cooperate Affairs: Mr diran oloyo, and other distinguished personnel of the firm.

Giving the welcome address, Mr Mike expressed his gratitude to the students and members of the society present for turning up and gracing their occasion. He continued by stating that this was the first ever organized entrepreneurship masterclass by FCMB in Nigerian universities and University of Ibadan happened to be the very first university it is being organized.

The head of digital marketing of FCMB, in the person of Mrs Lola Egboh, gave the first lecture on “Social Media Marketing”. Mr Olamidipupo Akinpelu, being the second speaker, lectured on “Photography Business”. Third speaker, Mr Diran Ojo took the participants through a very interactive session on “Branding And Why It Is Important For Everyone”.

The program continued to the next and final day, 11th of May 2018. The first speaker at the second session was Mr Idiare Atimomo, the Chief Operating Officer & Co-founder of Up In The Sky Limited, lectured “Content Marketing and Branding”, Mr. Samson Fashola continued as the second lecturer on “Business Finance”, he also gave out the sum of #100,000 to a student, who wanted to engage in farming, the sum of #20,000 went out to a student who happened to a fashion designer and lots of freebies were given to participants as they contribute and answered questions in his section. The lectures came to a close after Mr Blessing Oladeji delivered the last lecture on “Technology Business”.

The participants asked interesting questions and interacted with the facilitators. There were other activities that look place at the event: Flexx squad was live at the venue to help students open their Flexx accounts, resolve inquires and handed out souvenirs and refreshments and the raffle draw section came, where lucky winners left with one smartphone each and a winner with the sum of #50,000.
