Residents of Nnamdi Azikiwe Hall of the university on Saturday, November 22, 2014 trooped out in their numbers to construct a bridge over the popular Zik River.

According to The Hall Chair, Adeyemi Olamiposi popularly called ‘P black’, “for some months now, it has been very difficult for people to cross the river.” He said that it was as a result of the difficulty that people face in crossing the river that made them muster the courage to repair the bridge.

Known for their vivacity and dynamism, the job of repairing the bridge soon became an entertainment for great Zikites as they threw banters at one another and passers-by.
